Independent Contractors and tax withholding?

I am thinking about taking a position as an independent contractor, but this whole thing about not having my taxes taken out is scarying me.I dont want to pay a big tax bill at the end of the year. Is there a company out there or a CPA that can do the tax withholdings from every pay check like a regular payroll department would?
